Pate covered with fur, liver sausage covered with pig skin. It is the socio-political objects of the Dutch photographer Marloes Haarmans. The Dutch photographer wants us to think about the way we consume animals and how they packed the food industry and sells. The pictures are part of a series that they Eat on its website calls it, for which she has given to the spreadable animal turn meats for on bread that you can buy in any supermarket: Beef sausage, rabbit pâté, liverwurst and duck Pate. The four objects are photographed in a clinical environment to highlight the unnatural aspect of the food processing industry. By the coat and skin they have something away from the bags and shoes where people spend a lot of money. But the function is still the same: they are meant to to smear on a sandwich and delicious to eat. How far are we willing to go with the consumption of processed meat? And we find that meat still delicious as we see where it actually came from? Those are the questions from Haarmans. The project ensures that we otherwise look at the meat we eat. For the one it looks maybe a little nasty, but for the other might actually be really tasty. And that's exactly the intent. By the meat from its normal context, we can better reflect on the food industry as a draft. Source: Creatorsproject [if !supportLineBreakNewLine] [endif]
